Canada Industrial Relations Board dismisses PSAC’s complaint

Late last week, the Canada Industrial Relations Board dismissed PSAC’s bad faith bargaining complaint against Canada Post regarding changes to its Hybrid Workplace Practice.

The Board dismissed the claim without holding a hearing, stating that the reasons for its decision will be provided later. However, it did not explain why the claim was dismissed or why a hearing was not held. Once the full written decision is received, PSAC will assess further options and next steps.

While we are disappointed with this outcome, we remain committed to negotiating a new collective agreement that addresses your key priorities. These include wages that keep pace with the cost of living, the elimination of two-tier provisions in the contract, improvements to language around telework, job security and hours of work, and better leave and benefit provisions.
