Bargaining Update

At the end of November, your bargaining team met with the employer in Ottawa. During our discussions, the employer tabled new proposals, including changes to the grievance procedure, staffing, case management process, and committee changes.  

In turn, your bargaining team tabled many new proposals on the grievance procedure, performance reviews, seniority, shift and weekend premiums, call-back pay, stand-by provisions, vacation leave, the short-term disability program, the union education fund, and a new letter of understanding for the transition payment repayment.  

Your bargaining team will meet again on December 17-19 to finish preparing monetary proposals, including salary increases.  

We will present these monetary proposals during our next scheduled negotiation with the employer on January 28-30, 2025.
