PSAC is happy to announce that a new Collective Agreement has been ratified by members of UPCE Local 20095 working at Purolator Courier in BC. The new contract, which expires in December 2022 and was achieved with the help of a conciliator, includes wage increases, improved leave provisions including extra flexibility and time for bereavement leave, and stronger anti-harassment language.
PSAC and UPCE are expressing some cautious optimism for the future of Canada Post following the government’s public announcement of a new vision for the Corporation.

The 17th UPCE Triennial Convention was held at the Hilton in Mississauga, Ontario on September 17 to 19. Members from coast to coast met to debate the Union’s direction and elect the next UPCE Executive.
C-27 was introduced without notice or consultation with Canadians, pensioners, or unions and proposes measures that directly contradict election promises to improve retirement security for Canadians. If enacted, it will have negative implications for private and public-sector DB plans in every jurisdiction in Canada.
